date of birth

[edit]

Opinions seem to vary on Fini's year of birth. Some, like Wiki, say 1907 and others, like Britanica, 1908. It might be worth mentioning in the article if a definitive decision can not be made.--91.106.172.240 (talk) 19:32, 5 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

New article out from Artnet.com -- a very reliable art news source, lists it as 1907. Slacker13 (talk) 05:31, 5 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of material. Redoing citations. Why?

[edit]

I removed material that was original research or conclusions because Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and not a scholarly journal. I also removed sources that didn't contain the information they were being used to cite. (And yes, I did read them before axing them.) Reorganized Fini's biographical material chronologically so we can see the arc of her development. Also, in order to support artists and authors by providing them with as wide an audience as possible, I changed book and journal links to links at Internet Archive's library or WorldCat's catalog, both of which offer links to buy the book once the reader has been hooked (I mean "exposed to culture." Ahem.) I will come back tomorrow and clean up loose ends of grammar, etc. Oona Wikiwalker (talk) 11:53, 17 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Removed Original Research Tag

[edit]

Removed the

tag stating original research from 2015 because the article seems to have remedied this with multiple in-line citations. Slacker13 (talk) 05:30, 5 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
